THOMAS BORCSOK

Thomas is a public servant, lawyer, and writer. 

 

He graduated from the University of Toronto with his Bachelor of Arts (BA), specializing in criminology. He later completed law school and obtained his Juris Doctor (JD) at the University of Ottawa, having focused his studies on public law (e.g. administrative, constitutional, and criminal law).

Thomas recently ran in Ontario's 2022 election as  an independent candidate for Ottawa Centre. Click here to read his 2022 election platform.

 

Thomas' prior work experience includes:

  • an international NGO which provides legal assistance to LGBTQ+ refugees fleeing persecution; 

  • the legal services department of one of Canada's largest municipalities; and

  • the access to information and privacy secretariat of a large government department within the federal public service, where he served as a senior advisor. 

​

Thomas grew up on an apple farm outside of Toronto. He lives and works in Ottawa and has a rescue dog named Lemon.
